Buck Sings Grease 2! (Your Guilty Pleasures?)
By Buck on Apr 24, 2008 in Buck sings!
Sorry for all the singing this week! Spring makes me Sing!
Do you have a movie like Grease 2- that you just LOVED SO MUCH as a kid even though you kinda knew it was crap….or did you not realize it was crap until you were older?!
Pink Ladies 4-eva!
Oh and here is GAME DAY!!! How did you do?!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snjzV3ih8sM
Thanks for the pic Lilally!

Michael was HOT! You so could’ve pulled it off!
Your singing vlogs always make my day! When are you gonna do some Sweeney Todd?
unavailable2day reply on April 26, 2008:
Sounds like a great idea!

I loved Grease2, didn’t realise it was bad for a few years!Yes, sing some Sweeney Todd!
WannabeBallerina | Apr 24, 2008 | Reply
“Can’t Buy Me Love” with Patrick Dempsey. I thought it ROCKED back in the day. It was on A&E on Sunday and I was SO disappointed!
monimomo | Apr 24, 2008 | Reply
I never knew there was a Grease 2. I love your singing vlogs though, you could do one a day and I’d be thrilled.
My favorite movie as a kid though was Splash. I don’t think it was a bad movie, but it was definitely cheesy. When I was 3 years old I used to run around reciting lines from it like, “Alan could you make me some pancakes?” and “who put this goddamn fruit here?”. The second one used to make my parents laugh a lot.

Clue! OMG, I haven’t seen that movie in sooo long. I think I’ll have to rent it now.

Grease 2… LOVE IT! I also like the song “Lets do it for our country” where the really hot boy and that girl (the actress who was also in the movie Fame) almost have sex in the nuclear fallout shelter. And what about the big finale? Rock-a Hula Luau!

I saw Snakes On A Plane, it wasn’t really good. The only reason I saw it was because it had lots of songs I like in it. LOL!

Oh my god Clue! haha I need to go get that from my basement asap.
Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitters Dead was on Family channel last month and I didn’t watch, and I am so regretting it..
Sugar and Spice is the best guilty pleasure movie ever, I’ve probably seen it 10 times. Don’t judge.
And how have you never heard of Space Jam? Marvin the Martian and Michael Jordon together in one movie? Greatness.
jessalee | Apr 24, 2008 | Reply
I’ve only seen seven of the movies on that list. I was never really into Grease 2. The original Grease was my favorite movie when I was little.
Oh, and I love Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead! I thought I was the only one.

Watch “I Could Never Be Your Woman” and you’ll know exactly why you don’t see Michelle Pfeiffer. Except, she was pretty good in Hairspray

Ooh, ooh, I second Footloose!
Please don’t apologize for the singing–it is hil-ar-e-ous! I had forgotten about some of those Madonna oldies but goodies.
I sadly just learned recently that Eddie & the Cruisers was total crud. Wild summer nights, wild summer nights…

I’ve seen 15…..Holllaaaaa. Troop Beverly Hills and Big Girls Don’t Cry (they get even) were my faves as a kid.
Grease 2= AMAZING…Heeeeeey Johnny Johnny go for that strike. Isnt Shannon Doherty in it?
I might have to reconsider my opinion of you since you haven’t seen Xanadu. Rent it NOW! No, BUY IT!!!

That is so funny! When I was in fifth grade, I hung around with a group of girls and we were OBSESSED with Grease 2. We all tried to get pink jackets, and we wanted to choreograph a dance and sing for everyone.
I have the DVD, but I haven’t watched it in so long! I should bust that out tomorrow night when my son has his friend over to spend the night. Teenager torture! Yaaay!

Wow, great Game Day and Grease 2 singing!!!! Forgive me in advance for a lengthy reply. I have never had so much to say about nothing.
First, These are My Guilty Pleasures (some have been mentioned)….
1) Looooooove Grease 2 - Have gotten much poo poo over the years for saying it’s better than the original. I can sing every song, but instead I shall reference Stephanie Zanoni and her need for EXTRA Ketchup. Sooooo good…love than scene. “To Who, To Whom, To You, That’s Whom, so learn how to take a complement, OK?” Or something like that!
2) Clue - I think it’s hysterical that this movie has stood the test of time. No one ever really cared about during the day, and yet I hear people say all the time that Clue is one of their favorite movies “Oui, Oui Madame”
3) Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - No one else mentioned this one. Anybody else love this move? Know it? Early SJP, Helen Hunt, pre-teen Brenda Walsh, and a dreamy guy named Lee Montgomery. Oh, and Jonathan Silverman but no movie is perfect.
4) McDreamy Before Everyone Else Knew It Collection - Cant Buy Me Love, Loverboy, and um, I even watched Meatballs 3 over and over. I’m happy for his recent success, but a part of me feels violated that others have found about him….he was my special crush and I dont want to share!
5) A Chorus Line - The Movie: Better than any stage production Ive seen….um, but I didnt see teh original. Current revival sucks. But I still cried at At The Ballet. Shut up!
6) Does anybody remember Midnight Madness? Scavenger hunt movie with pre-Family Ties Michael J Fox. Clue: The SS Itari is mixed up and blind. (Can you solve it?)
Second, here are just random observations/quotes of movies on the list that I love but not enough to consider one of MY guilty pleasures….
Dont Tell Mom… - A good friend who loves this movie has me saying “I’m right on top of that, Rose” to the day….an way too often.
Mommie Dearest - Faye D was amazing yet Adult Christina delivers my absolute favorite line: ” I AM NOT ONE OF YOUR FAAAAAANNNNS, MOTHER!!!!!!!!!”
Star Wars - Buck, you made me feel better. I have not seen Empire Strikes Back and people look at me in shock and horror when I tell them. For that reason alone, I never want to.
Staying Alive - It’s Finola Hughes. I wrote to ABC as a kid and got a signed 8×10 glossy from her….yet I thought I was straight. Go figure.
Xanadu - Seriously, shame on you. You have to watch….and with a group. I’m sure we’d all watch with you.
Superstar - Yay, Molly Shannon makes me happy. She and Jan Hooks are my favorite SNL’ers.
OK, 15 of 20 overall. You brought back such good memories. Thank you!!!

I thought Snakes on a Plane was a great movie. It wasn’t made to please the critics - it was made to please the fans, which is why it was reviewed so harshly.
If you don’t mind watching people get attacked by snakes while 35,000 feet in the air, then you’ll definately wanna see it. Plus it’s worth watching just to hear Samuel L. Jackson say “I’ve had it with these motherf**king snakes on this motherf**king plane!”

Guilty Pleasure movies…I only got 11 out of 20, but I LOVED Grease II. As really bad as the movie was I had the biggest crush on Michelle Pfeiffer and Maxwell Caufield. Although I did find it strange watching him knowing that Michael in real life was married to Juliet Mills of Nanny and the Professor.

I would watch it all the time but I was so young that I didn’t understand a lot of it but I thought I did lol so looking back Its kinda sad in the “I’m retarded kind of way”. Same with Bring It On… oh my god that should have been on that list! It really should have. Also, “Nobody puts buck in the corner!” Love it. Sorry, I’m done rambling.
