Hey Buck,
I’ve recently told my mom that I was gay and I feel like a whole bunch of guilt has been lifted from my shoulders, concidering my mom was 100% ok with it. However, I feel like that I will make my mom uncomfortable if I were to get a boyfriend, since she dosen’t want my 5 and 3 year old brother and sister to think that being gay is the only way, but that it is perfectly ok at the same time to be gay. Any idea how to deal with this?

Hey Buck!

I’m 21 years old and my girlfriend and I have been going out for about 18 months now and every part of our relationship is great. My only issue is with her mother. She hasnt come out ot her parents yet. And her mother makes all sorts of homophobic comments in front of me. I’ve asked her to stop, as the comments upset me. However, she will keep making these commetns. (She is unaware of my relationship with her daughter) My girlfriend doesnt know how to stand up to her because she doesn’t wwant her mom to know she’s gay. How would you handle this situation?

my name is emma, i am 15 and never had a boyfriend ,actual i don’t want to have a boyfriend , cuz i rly have a hard time to trust guyz and actaull finding one ,as in he is not the rite person ,cuz all the boyz that i know judge by looks and i hate that , the boyz that like me like me cuz of my looks. So i created a fake facebook that doesn’t have my rly name or pictures, then there was this guy that i added (beleive it or not he has six pack), so i started talking to him , just for fun but i found out he was the one , he was sweet charming and liked me becuz of me and we had alot in common. he always told me i am amazing and not to change and always be the samebut when he told me he liked me i told him i had a boyfriend ( and i didn’t have one ) i just didn’t want to be with him i just figured maybe he is lieing besides wat if he knew that i was lieing the whole time that i am not that girl he thought i was , and i dunno maybe cuz he looked like a player but he rly didn’t comment bk the girlz that comment on his wall , and he always said to them i still haven’t if the one so i deleted my fb and know i am trying to get over him but when i told him BYE FOREVER he was like noo plzz i love u, and i love him too tell me wat to doo plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz reply p.s i already deactivated my fb thanzx

I think the most you can do is support your girlfriend. She’ll tell her mom when she’s ready, just be patient.

I’m starting my junior year of high school next year, and recently my AP CHEMISTRY teacehr assigned me summer homework and I have to finish my summer reading book, plus I have band camp on top of that. Summer isn’t even over yet, and I already feel drained. I’m positive that school this year will forcibly rape me of my emotions, energy, and mind due to all of my classes and such. So, I’m asking you: DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE ON HOW I CAN CONTROL AND KEEP MY STRESS AND EMOTIONS IN CHECK FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR?

hey buck im going into my junior year of high school this year. im really not looking foward to it. i am very shy and i have a hard time making friends. i had 3 friends in high school and one of them left. so now i only have two. and all the lunches are different and last year out of my 7 day schedule there was one lunch where i had to stay in the bathroom so i would not be humilated.im really upset about it and i feel like such a loser. how can i make new friends because im antisocial i cant physiclly walk up to someone i dont talk to and talk to them. ive been thinking of homeschool but i want a graduation. buck please help.

Hey Buck. On Wednesday I will start school. I’m a junior in High School so I’m not nervous, except I start gym. I am overwieght and out of shape. I’m sure I will be made fun of. Even more so because the younger kids don’t know me and will be quick to judge. Any advice on what I should do to not get made fun of. I’m totally open to beating some kids, hahaha, just kidding.

Hey Buck,
I am a 15 years old teenage boy. I play both football and i also horse back ride and have a horse of my own, Comet. I recently came out to my parents that i am gay and they feel like it is a personal attack on themselves. They have threatened to take me out of football but they are also very serious about selling my horse now because they feel like it is “contributing” to the fact i “turned out gay” and i am embarressing them. How do I get them to listen to me and get them to accept me and not sell my horse!

dear mr. buck:D i need some advice on how to deal with teachers. My health teacher this year is new. And on the first day on the first lesson i had with him he called me fat and said by the looks of me i need to excersie more. It brought my self confidence down,. Hi Brandon, I’d have to agree with what Michael said. There were a couple of overweight boys in my classes at school but no one ever made fun of them because they really were the nicest people you could have met. One of them is a now a doctor and the other has his own radio show – I bet anyone who did make fun of them are no where near as successful as they are. I hope you enjoy your new school and make some lifelong friends

Hey Buck, What should I do about people that call me gay for my tastes in music and ect. I’ve been having thoughts about being gay lately but until I’m positive about it I don’t want people thinking I am. Also IO go to a all boys catholic High School if that helps.
