Although I’m not getting the same intensity from it. Maybe I’m missing something. I’ll have to put down my book and watch more closely. I do like Nigel. I think the two gals are “out there.”

Yup I’m watching it. This is only the 2nd season I’ve seen though. I think I saw the first season. The dancing will be fun I forgot you saying that on the live show. love ya xoxo Liana

I’ve danced for years and I was so excited when I found out they were doing a dance reality show

some of the people that do it are just phenomenal *cough Danny cough*
I always feel inadequate whenever I watch them/him

I love this show! My dance teacher auditioned here in Salt Lake and she made it to Vegas, so I really hope they show her tomorrow. She is a beautiful dancer.

I don’t watch the show. But then again, I don’t watch much tv. I have seen clips from it though. It does seem to down to earth than idol. But hopefully it doesn’t become the machine Idol has become!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE SYTYCD! I didn’t see seasons 1 or 3, but my daughter and I were totally rooting for Travis. I still cry to see him dance, (I’m getting choked up just thinking about it!). I even took my daughter to the SYTYCD tour when it came by. It was phenomenal. I marvel at what people can do with their bodies. I will watch and enjoy and cry and get emotional and feel with you!

SYTYCD IS MY FAVE! Kitty Kat is my fave she is a Picasso though. Have you ever noticed how crooked her nose is? I am obsessed with staring at it. Shane Sparks is a talantless midge, why does he always have a ball cap pulled so far down that you cannot see his eyes? Wade is kind of amazing and very unique and the choreographer Many Moore is sooo good! She is under rated on the show. ummm yeah I think that is it for now, I am so excited for the show though….HOLLA!

this is also my FAVORITE show! Soo much better than Idol. I love kat deely too…but I do make fun of her outfits sometimes, LOL. Last season i LOVED sabra, danny, and dominic. Did you see the guy who was popping his joints out of place and bending all over at the end of the first episode! AMAZING! Nigel was impressed. and I also LOVE Mary and Mia. Her routine last year about her father that Lacey danced with her partner (dont remember his name) was so sad! <3

I agree, I feel the only reason people liked it so much was because of the story behind it.
Her routine at the beginning of last season with Lacey & Kameron though was awesome

ok so i LOVE sytycd. i get kinda way too excited about it. like… i will freak out and cry and it’s just all insane. but i gotta say…sex is getting extremley annoying. y did they let him through a 3rd time?! and also…apparently everyone thinks the judges have been superharsh this year (not me i think they’ve been nice) what about u?
i’m so excited you seem to get just as excited about this show as i do!!!

ooooooo sytycd is my FAVE. Last year I’m afraid I only watched it because Neil Haskell was HOT, but this year I genuinely(sp?) like the show.

Got into SYTYCD last season, after watching marathons on TV for it at a friends. Lots of fun! Looking forward to following it with much devotion this time around.
I also found out about a month ago Canada is audition for its version of SYTYCD, so I’ll definitely be checking that out (as a Canadian and a fan it is my duty :P). I don’t know if there are any other international versions, but I’m excited nonetheless! Not to fond of who they have to host our version

Ok so this video made me so happy it’s insane. SYTYCD is absolutely incredible and I agreed with everything you were saying about the talent, Cat, etc. Bravo!! Can’t wait to see you covering it on YouTube!! Hope this season can top last summer’s!!

omgggg, i love sytycd more than idol too! i total agree with all of your opinions. idk why they keep letting “sex” back on. i guess he makes good tv. my friend went to try outs in la, and he was 5 people in front of her, so i knew he was coming back. and…. my hip hop teacher from my dance studio is in the top 20! ahhhh! wanna no who? he tried out in la, you saw him on tv. guess.

So You Think You Can Dance is my favorite show too! I love it and I can’t WAIT to see this next round of auditions! Unfortunately, I can’t watch it tonight, but, I have the DVR all set up to record and I’ll watch it on Friday! I’M SO EXCITED! Already said that.. whoops!
And I agree with you; I love Cat and I also think Ryan acts the way you described.. it’s so true!

omg i know i love sytycd too!!!
you totally get more emotionally involved in it
and i think its more inspiring than American Idol because it takes practice and skill with some natural talent too of course to dance where as singing can be completely natural w/o out training tho many train. but anyways i love the show and i love that you love it too!

I’ll watch it I guess but I really don’t like it that much. I mean, I don’t know why, because I wanted to be a dancer and it just makes me feel jealous I guess. Also, I can’t stand it when the person i like doesn’t win, like Archie didn’t win AI and I’m still pissed about that.

So You Think You Can Dance is my favorite reality show thing. It beats every single one.
And I soooo agree with you on basically everytthing. They don’t overdo everything in the show.
There are those bad people, and there are the people that need some work, and there are just those people who you get goosebumps for when they get on stage.

I googled you and some childrens book author wikipedia site came up. It had about four sentences. At the top there was a link: “For the internet celebrity, see Michael Buckley (Internet celebrity)” so I did. And It was a half page full of interesting details. Why dont they make you the original article?

Singing is my first passion (although American Idol has sucked big time the past few years), but I must say that this show (SYTYCD) is just so fun to watch. I am really just in awe of some of these dancers. Makes me wish I could dance.

I love this show too!! AI is all hype…and you are right about Seacrest acting smug. SYTYCD is about real talent. You can’t fake your way through a dance routine.
If Mary Murphy and her horrible laugh weren’t part of the show, it would be perfect.
Is it just me, or does her mouth seem slighly donkey-ish?

I love SYTYCD! I’ve been addicted since season 2. It was one of the only shows I watched last summer because I don’t really like the summer shows on tv… Mia is by far my favourite (yes with a U! *canada!*) judge/choreographer!

I have ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS loooooved SYTYCD, ever since season 1 (with Lauren Sanchez hosting! EW! Cat is SO much better). I missed last Thursday’s and last night’s episodes, but I caught tonight’s. I’ve gotta say, I was disappointed. They showed a LOT of bad dancers and focused on them for a long time, then focused a lot on the meltdowns. That’s the one thing I don’t like about the show. Oh, and Nigel is being MEAN. He really doesn’t need to say most of the things he’s saying. He could just say “no” and get on with it. :-\
But OMG I am SO EXCITED for when they narrow it down to the top 20. The introduction of the top dancers at the end of Vegas is one of my favo(u)rite parts of the show. LOVES IT.

This season hasn’t come to Ireland yet but I love SYTYCD, it’s such a great show.They’re usually pretty positive which makes a nice change from the other bitchy shows.

I completely agree with you re: the difference between this show and American Idol. Every year I care SO much more about SYTYCD and wonder what happened to everyone afterwards, etc. I am baffled as to why AI is so much more popular.

this is totally my favorite show!
I love it, cuz the dancers always have so much fun and are really great ppl in 90% of the time! and the talent… omg, these are ppl, who have worked their whole lives to achieve what they can do now and I love their dedication!
not to mention Mia Michaels… you can tell she lives in her own world and her pieces are so unique, I can’t believe that a person can horeograph smth like that!
