What the Buck- American Music Awards Recap!

Love Adam, only went to AI concert to see him sing. But just like you Buck, I did not care for his performance on the AMAs. It was a mess, pitchy and over the top. I don’t care if his tour has all those dancer and crazy moves but SING WELL. I blame ABC (Disney) for not making DickClark Productions make Adam clean up the performance. Yes it was almost 11PM when he performed but I’m sure many Idol fans (youngster) stayed up to watch. Well now they see the real Adam Lambert, the Artist is all about. I’m sure this put the final nail in the coffin for the middle America crowed that was will to give him a chance as an “artist”. O ‘well so he doesn’t become the be best selling American Idol contestant.

Please stop apologizing for not liking Adam lambart’s performance
it sucked

1.I thought it was like amazing when I first saw it but then, like you, I watched it again and didn’t like it at all! But it doesn’t matter to me because I have been a fan ever since his first audition on American Idol. Literally, like I remember seeing his auditon and just thinking wow this guy is really talented. When he performed ever week, I just fell in love with him and I was pretty upset he didn’t win but I got over it. I’m definitely buying his record, even if the music is bad. I just support him 100% percent and I truly believe in him because he is just incredible.
2.Most performances were good. I loved Kelly Clarkson because she sounded fantastic and was Lady Gaga because I just love her. She’s not like other singers nowadays and she’s so unique and I adore that about her. My favorite was J.Lo’s but not because of the performance itself. It was because when she fell, I was just rolling on the floor! I seriously like laughed for the rest of the performance. It was hilarious =P My least fave was the Black Eyed Peas. I just don’t really like them. I don’t see what’s so great about them, like the whole they were on stage, I had the urge to just turn off the television.
3.I was shocked and mad that Taylor won like 50 awards! Don’t get me wrong, I love her and I have ever since she first came out, which was before people really knew her but I honestly don’t think she is that great of a singer. I probably sound better then her and that isn’t exactly a compliment. And now she’s like flipping crazy! I remember when she first started out and she was all sweet and cute and I loved her but now she like doesn’t hit all the right notes in her performances and she smashes chair like wth?! I don’t know if it’s just me but I think she’s trying to be like Miley. When she is performing, she like bangs her head all the time and dances around and has a wind machine and like falls on the floor and it just reminds me so much of Miley. Ugh whatever, I don’t care too much for her anymore. I think Michael Jackson should have won every award he was nominated for because he is phenomenal =D and I dont really know about Lady Gaga winning best new artist. I love her and wanted her to win, but she’s not really a new artist. I have songs by her on my iPod that came out like last year and I remember dancing to Just Dance for my recital and I learned the dance in dance class in like September 2008 which was a couple of months after the song actually came out. She’s not really a new artist, I guess people just consider her that because she just started getting recognized when Poker Face came out.
4. I though Whitney didn’t sound as good as before but that singing ability is still somewhere in her voice but barely. Adam thrusting the girl/guy’s head into his genitals was probably the funniest thing I’ve ever seen but it gets second to J.Lo falling on her ass. And I also noticed all the botox on the stars’ faces. How could you not? Their stone foreheads basically light up the room and I barely payed attention to anything they said because I was too busy staring at their doctor’s latest work. Other than that, it was a pretty good show but after two hours, I was ready to fall asleep. I only kept watching to see Adam’s performance. Ohh well, the only reason I watch award shows is to see celebrities make asses of themselves or forget their lines or fall down on their “Louboutins”(ahahha =P)

Rihanna….shes going through her dark faze, hopefully she can come out of it. Interesting performance with the lazer lights but thats about it.

Alicia Keys, is just fabulous great opening to Empire state of mind.
Im tired of GaGa’s odd-ness its getting boring. Shes very talented but the gimic of being weird is on over kill at the moment.
Adam was a shocker but, Im sure we’ll all forget about it in a few days.

Ok!! Hmmm where should I start from?? Lets see! You talk way too much!! know wander your half asleep! You’ve been talking for over 12 minutes straight!! And I know it’s just your oppinion, but you don’t have to make this big thing about everything! And can you ever stop smiling?! OH and did I say I hated people like you!! They always gotta try some way to make other people look bad! Do you even know how it feels?? Wow a grown man still hasn’t learned. Where have you been all your life?! I know it’s kinda rude but someones got to tell ya sooner or later. And if people have told you this before then you just don’t listen.

But my favorite was Green Day!! But Billie Joe sounded kinda sick. It wasn’t his best.

1. With you all the way on Adam. I already felt that gay guilt too when I was rooting for Kris Allen instead of Adam on AI. I guess I would just like a bit more sincerity from Adam if that makes any sense. It always rubs me the wrong way when artists/movies/plays are weird or shocking just for the sake of being weird or shocking without having a message. The whole thing just seemed way too forced. BUT I will still take that over a boring performance anyday. His voice was fine though….the usual from him (strong and powerful, but sometimes annoying)….so I guess we dont completely agree, Bucky Boy. I’d like to see him someday in a Broadway show….as long as he had a director to rein him in a bit.

2. Didnt see much of the other performers. Janet was bad, but yes it was nice to hear the old songs.

3. Is it just me, or are we sick of Taylor Swift yet? And I still think the Kanye West incident was staged. She is certainly cashing in whether it was staged or not. She is not talentless by any stretch, but these CMA and AMA Artist of the Year Awards are about as premature as Obama’s Nobel Prize.

4. I generally dont watch the AMAs as it is such an unnecessary Award Shows….probably the first of the numerous unnecessary awards shows to come….so in that way, it is quite original I guess.

Ever since I found your show on youtube I can’t stop watching! Your shows are now part of my regulars to watch and would looove if you made more! AMAs…I usually don’t watch these shows, but HAD to watch Lady Gaga perform. She is a breath of fresh, crazy air to the music world. She’s like MOMA (museum of modern art for those non-NYers) set to music and I LOVE IT. I actually think her performance was pretty timid compared to the VMAs and the write ups of what to expect from her at the AMAs.
Rihanna definitely looks like she tries waay to hard to keep up with Lady G and just can’t match her creativity and talent-wise. Though I think everyone is trying to be more “edgy” now that she’s around.
J.Lo sucked though she came right after LG and you could REALLY tell she was lip syncing, though her falling was pretty good.
Adam’s performance was bad….and I stopped watching half way through. Really, I could care less how many people he tongues and crotch grinds, just sing decently!
Keep up on making me laugh and can’t wait for your next show!!

I think Adam has a wonderful voice. he’s amazingly talented, but that performance was just…bad. The first time I watched it I thought he was just trying to do something to shake it up, but watching it again afterward it was poorly executed and he didn’t sound good at all. I think he really just tried a little too hard to be over the top.

Lady Gaga’s performance was spectacular however. She has SUCH an incredible live voice and no matter how freaky she looks she pulls it off. She most definitely should have won best new artist! I just think she scares too many people for them to let her

BEP…their live performances suck. Fergie looked good, and sounded good, but I guess I still can’t look at her and not think Kids Incorporated. Will looked stupid. Apple sounded horrible. I’m not sure what the hell Tabu was doing…Overall, just wasn’t impressed.

J-Lo covered herself very well. I don’t think it was really that noticeable. But it really would have been nice to actually hear her SING instead of lip syncing all night.

Janet Jackson looked good, but I wasn’t overly impressed and I’m just not sure what the hell she was doing with her pants…

Far as Taylor winning so many awards…I honestly just don’t get it. I don’t think she’s all that amazing. Don’t get me wrong, she certainly can sing, but there are people out there (Lady Gaga!) who are a lot better than her.
