MICHAEL: FYI: I watched the MILEY performance, I think she was SINGING “LIVE” because there were moments where her “P” sounds popped on the microphone, and some moments where she had some sloppy diction while trying to catch a breath. Usually recorded/lip synch performances sound far too “perfect”, and don’t have these variances. Except of course for the REALLY clever performers who record a good live performance and then use it over and over again….hmmm, Celine Dion has been acused of such.
The pole wasn’t the BEST idea, but at least she didn’t GRIND all over it.
I’m a TOUGH Audience, I want live singers to sound GOOD, like Martina McBride in country music. So tired of acts that sound good in the studio but SUCK on tour.
I’m not a big Miley Fan but wanted to put in my “two cents worth” about LIVE/vs/LIPSYNCH. I thought Miley sounded pretty GOOD, considering she a moderate vocalist at best.

i thought the teen choice awards was good and very entertaining and the miley thing OMG get over it ppl shes a performer and maybe the pole was there so she wouldnt fall, well maybe not, but still come on shes 16 give her a break some ppl think shes gonna be like the next britney spears but really shes got a better head on her shoulders than that she wont like shave her head or anything not thati can tell but still give her a break i think she did a great job and yeah im pretty sure it was live but she still did well and my fav winner well its a tie between taylor swift and miley she got like almost every award she was nominated for, and my fav performer well everyone did awesome so its once again a tie and i rather someone lip synch that way you get what you payed for and either way it is that person singing just modified and a lot of the twilight cast is weird like that guy who played that nerd eric he had like the smallest part in the movie lol he was dressed so weirdly like a hobo lol but still they r a little…. different well, not all of them but some of them and that Olivia person up there yeah shes stupid she can suck it!!!
and dane cook with the joke well he could have lived without it and it wasnt really cool of him to do that

As for the whole Miley/pole-dancing thing, which seems to have the entire Internet in an uproar, I think this is being blown way out of proportion.

Buck, since you presumably have never been to a strip club (at least not the kind with female strippers,) you should know that what Miley did doesn’t even come close to actual pole dancing.

Okay, I do understand that Miley has done some questionable things, and maybe she could dress a little more classy, but seriously, the whole thing with trying to make everything Miley does into some big scandal has gotten way out of hand. The reason she’s so popular, (as evidenced by the number of awards she won,) is that she is a lot more like the average teen, (including some of the “questionable” stuff,) than some of the other, too-perfect, teen starlets.
