YouTube Made Me Famous on Tyra!

This Wednesday on the Tyra Banks Show, my friend Cory “Mr Safety” Williams is going to be on!
Of course I will tune in to see him but look at Tyra’s website. This is what The Tyra Banks Show and most traditional media sources think of YouTube.
It is not about game show hosts throwing up on live TV or runway models falling. Boooooo!
And Tyra is making YouTube history?! Uh huh. Just like Oprah minus the skateboarding dog.
Someday they will get it right.

Weren’t you supposed to be on the show to begin with but they were to full or something? That’s a load of BS if you ask me, unless I’m thinking of something else, then I feel like an idiot lol.
You should have been on before all these other people, especially if they had told you before that you could be on and then cancelled you.

Oprah had no clue what makes a YouTube celebrity, and neither does Tyra! She got it pretty good with some of them, but like you said - hosts barfing and models tripping is not what makes you popular on YouTube.
I’m waiting for someone to do a YouTube celebrity segment and show people like What the Buck, Vlogbrothers, Nalts, Smosh, Charlieissocoollike … that kind of thing.
Someone needs to clue these talk show hosts in!

I totally agree with you.
People assume that Youtube is just about Chris Crocker and that skateboarding dog. But Youtube is really about the community of vloggers that have the courage to turn on their cameras and share their lives with each other and even with subscribers who don’t post videos but never fail to leave encouraging comments on their videos.
It’s almost as if the mainstream media “dumbs down” Youtube for people who aren’t regular subscribers or channel owners.

Just saw the clip & I do not like Tyra’s dancing! Matt’s cool but Tyra is just embarrassing! The buckhollywood cru would’ve pwned them all tho! xD
